ABOUT US

Where we came from...
Ricky Evans has worked within the Automotive industry for 27 years . He started as a windscreen fitter in the 70s and still fits today. He has also competed at a high level in motorsport and this is where he found the demand for heated windscreens at a price that in the past only the rich teams could afford.
He has appeared on TVs Channel 5 Dream machine working as a consulate on fitting windscreen into vehicles featured on the program.
With a background in automotive glass wholesale and glass remanufacture it became apparent over time that the enthusiastic owners of modern classics were finding it difficult to get there hands on supply only glass in one off quantities. They either had to buy from car specialists at high prices or buy the glass and fitting service together, again at high cost. Either way came with geographic and time restraints where specialists or fitting stations were a considerable distance to travel or closed during the hours the customer was free from their own work. Often the parts they wanted were not available immediately and most specialists refused to ship glass making it hassle to procure the most basic but vital of car spares. We saw we could cut out many links in the supply chain offering better value to customers. We could supply from stock all the parts needed, we could offer mail order using our handling experience to ensure minimal breakages, and most importantly with the use of internet sales and payment processing we could offer a 48 hour shop where orders and payments can be made at a time to suit the customer. Now we find many of our orders are received at 10 pm and later.

Where we are going...
With over 300 new products added in 2003, 400 in 2004 is likely to see a wider product range with more of our unheated windscreens being made available in a heated form and the remanufacture of even more classic car glazings that are becoming increasingly more difficult and expensive to get hold of.
